CARLETON RODE PLOUGHING ASSOCIATION AGM

Friday 15th March 7.30pm Carleton Rode Jubilee Hall

If you would like to know more about what we’ve been doing this year then come and join us.

If you would like to join the team new committee members are always welcome.

Following the AGM we will be joined by Garth and Liz Cooper for a short talk entitled ‘ My Life as a Farming Reported’ Both have worked for the BBC on farming programmes as well as writing articles for farming magazines.

This will then be followed by refreshments.

 The meeting and talk are open to everyone and entry is free. We look forward to welcoming you. 

Carleton Rode Ploughing Association's Annual Drawing Match is back.

SATURDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER 2023

On the field next to the village hall from 12 noon.

 HOG ROAST, TEA & CAKE, OLD RAM TRACTOR CLUB, HEAVY HORSE DISPLAY

Furrow sales end at 4pm. 5pm deadline for last furrow.

Come along and have a go, you never know you may win one of the 17 cups and trophies up for grabs. Never driven a tractor before? Expert guidance given and you could win the new-comer trophy. Your furrow might have a few kinks but it still might win you a trophy if it's the best one in its class. 

You are welcome to just come and watch, enjoy a cup of tea, piece of cake or a hog roast roll.

The Old Ram Tractor Club will be joining us at about 2.30 on their return from a rally. They will then provide a static display of vintage tractors.

We will also have a heavy horse display

Our AGM will be held on Saturday 18th March, 7.30pm at Carleton Rode Jubilee Hall. 

This will be followed by Charlie Haylock with his thoroughly entertaining Eccentric Look At The Countryside

Entry is free and Everyone is welcome.

UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO THE LACK OF RAIN, THE GROUND IS TOO HARD FOR THE SMALL PLOUGHS TO COMPETE. 

WE HAVE THEREFORE HAD TO CANCEL THIS YEARS DRAWING MATCH.

 

The drawing match which took place on Saturday 16th September 2017 at Old Hall Farm, Hall Road. The weather was impressive...
